Sashes - Civil War Officers

Army regulations specified that Officers wear a silk net sash wrapped twice around the waist and tied at the left hip.

The colors required for Federal Generals was Buff and all Field and Line Offers was Crimson, while Surgeons wore Emerald Green. NCOs wore red worsted wool sashes. In the Federal Army, Cavalry Officers DID NOT wear yellow sashes.

Don’t get ripped off! The sashes offered here are a full 132″ in length and are the the same quality, or better, than those offered at many bricks and sticks suttlers for $39 and UP and many you will find on line are of very poor quality!
